Queen Noor, Queen of Jordan made an appearance on HBO’s Real Time With Bill Maher tonight for a one on one with the host.  She was on the show to promote her most recent cause, Global Zero.  The organization’s purpose is to promote the elimination of nuclear weapons throughout the world.  Global Zero is a collection of over 200 leaders from around the globe who have gotten behind this campaign for global nuclear disarmament.
Queen Noor spoke at length about the nuclear threat throughout the world and made several strong points about the importance of the movement.  Later in the interview, Maher shifted gears and turned the conversation in on the Queen, with questions about Jordan’s handling of the West Bank as well as questions about the necessity of a Monarchy in the first place.  While Queen Noor seemed to respond very well to the questions, it was definitely a most unexpected turn for the talk show host to turn on his guest in the middle of an interview with a humanitarian focus.  FernandoBasquez
