AUGUSTA, Ga. - It doesn't happen very often this way, that a prosecutorial prelude to a tournament produces such a feel-good verdict. INDIANAPOLIS: NCAA championship game 2010, one shining moment 2010: Duke beat Butler by a whisker. Butler lost the crucial match to Duke but they won hearts of their fans for playing to their strength. Interestingly, Butler’s bench which was overlooked throughout the popular NCAA tournament stepped up when it counted. It tried to fight till the last moment. However, all its efforts failed to produce positive results because of hard luck.

Butler’s bench was at its best. Avery Jukes made 10 points. He had scored two key three-pointers in the first half, helping the team improve its tally.

At the end of the game the Bulldogs' reserves tallied 15 points. This included six rebounds in the national title game. What about the Dukes’ bench that won the tournament? Those who watched the match unfold say their score was zero.
